The blank spaces on the map of Germany represent areas where the relevant authorities declined to provide numbers.<\/p><p>You can also study the projected future changes of the population, based on the same numbers and a recognised formula for population projection. There is a detailed explanation of this under \u201cAbout the Maps\u201d.
